Hands-on Cadaverworkshop. Interventional Pain Management FIPP preparative Course.
Pain treatment has evolved to pain management in which interventional pain management (IPM) plays a corner stone role.
Thanks to improvement in guidance posibilities (improvement of fluoroscopy and echography) procedures can be performed more accurately.
Pain is a complex disease. If interventional treatment is considered, this must be performed cfr the highest standards of care concerning technique chosen and the way it is performed.
Patient safety has always been on the forefront and a priority in interventional pain treatment.
The wide range of the IPM practitioners’ educational background, and the divers type and scope of the institutions imparting IPM knowledge and skills to them, necessitated that there should be a standardized qualification for someone to be considered capable to perform IPM safely.
For many years the world institute of pain understood this need and arranges exams on psychometrically developed and practice related basis since many years. As such FIPP (Fellow of Interventional Pain Practice) and CIPS (Certified Interventional Pain Sonologist) exams are invoked.
Everyone intending to participate on these exams has to prepare thoroughly theoretically. We can support you to refresh on ithe practical training for the interventional techniques in Dutch and English.
